Environment policy

1. OBJECTIVE

To integrate environmental criteria and measures in all the company’s productive activities, seeking to ensure a responsible and sustainable approach to the environment.

2. SCOPE OF APPLICATION

It extends to all operational aspects and decisions of the company that may have an environmental impact, both directly and indirectly

3. POLICY

The management of Frigorífico de la Costa S.A.S. adopts the following guidelines:

• Comply with the applicable environmental legislation, as well as with all commitments voluntarily subscribed by the company regarding environmental protection.
• Continuously improve the environmental performance of the organization through measures of prevention, control, minimization, mitigation and correction of environmental impacts.
• Establish and implement environmental objectives and goals based on the identification of significant environmental impacts caused by the productive activities of the organization.
• Measure and periodically review environmental indicators under the responsibility of the organization’s senior management.
• Continue with programs for the integrated management of solid, hazardous and liquid waste in order to reduce and mitigate the environmental pollution generated by our organization.
• Communicate and educate workers about the environmental programs developed within the company, thus contributing to reduce the risk of environmental impact.
• Encourage activities under the protection of the company that promote ecological awareness and care for the environment.
• To establish the present environmental policy by communicating it to all the organization’s personnel and to any person working on our behalf.
